Whether in the center in the Trattoria Fontana d'Ercole with innovative dishes based on the slow food principle, fresh and regional. In the countryside, you have various options, between almond and olive groves with the tasting of freshly caught fish or juicy meat from local farmers. A full-bodied wine or cocktail with a snack - Anche gli Angeli — a wonderful location in the old basement of the San Carlo Church, where there is a characteristic architectural structure with large vaults and exposed stone walls.
About 15 minutes south of Noto in MarzamemI, a quaint fishing village, is located Nassa Restaurant. Mmmmmh so delicious the fish dishes... Marzamemi is incredibly romantic, a piazza with turquoise chairs with the rushing sea and fishing boats.
Another secret tip, not far from Noto center, in the district of Zisola, is an old estate that has been brought back to life after careful restoration. The cooperative “Si può fare” is dedicated to a special commitment, the integration of people in need. There you can buy fresh organic vegetables or simply come out on the terrace for a small snack or dinner.
Noto with Bambini
Noto's beaches are ideal for families with children. Whether building sand castles on the beaches of Marina di Noto and San Lorenzo with the finest gently sloping sandy beaches up to the Vendicari Nature Reserve; the perfect address to dive into pristine nature with a refreshing swim or a romantic walk watching rare bird species and flamingos. Sicily is an Eldorado for sweet tooth lovers. In the Pasticceria Mangiafico A heavenly mulberry ice cream or an almond or pistachio granita and a warm brioche will make every child's heart soft.
Further south, there is the chocolate capital of Sicily; Modica. There is the Bonajuto. It has been the oldest chocolate factory in Sicily since 1880 and whether big or small, the eyes get huge when looking at these handmade delicacies. How about an arancini, the fried rice balls with or without filling, a traditional street food in Sicily. A boat trip to the crystal-clear bays and caves in the southeast of the island will be adventurous and unforgettable... andiamo bambini...
